Сold Steel AK-47 Clone Knife Review!

I have received this knife and would like to share with you my review of it.
It comes in a Cold Steel branded box with all the correct photos and markings - if I didn't know that this is a clone - I could easily think the box is original.
The knife came reasonably sharp, pretty smooth (possible to open and close one-handed) and makes overall good first impression.
I took it outside for some wood cutting and spine whack testing.

Pros: 

- Strong, rugged construction - First of all the knife has zero bladeplay in any direction, even after I spine whacked it about 10 times on a tree. The G10 is pretty grippy, just like the original CS knives. The backspacer/striker is made from aluminum and seems solid.
- Ergonomics - Especially due to the curve in the handle - the knife fits my hand (M) very well in all grips.
- Great weight and balance - this knife has no steel liners, so it is pretty light for the size (5.49oz/155.5g), and feels even lighter due to the near perfect balance between the handle and the blade.
- Awesome looks and character - This is a tactical knife, and it looks and feels tactical from all the angles. The construction, the colors, the feel, even the name - all just screams Military to me. 
- The tablet wave feature - it works great, especially since the knife can't be flicked out, due to the design and the lock type.
- The value - at $18 this is the strongest tactical knife I ever had.

Cons:

- Blade centering - it's a little off on mine (I've seen other reviews that said theirs is centered), not scraping the liner though.
- Not the most EDCable knife - The handle is pretty long and wide, especially considering the blade length, so not the most convenient for urban carry.
- The biggest con of this knife is the pocket clip - It came very stiff, so I bent it out a little bit. The pocket clip screws are also not of the best quality and it moved a little bit side to side, until I locktighted the screws.
- The handle screws are pretty soft as well.

The Verdict: This is not an urban EDC or a collectors piece to put on a shelf, this is a strictly tactical kind of knife, built with a purpose to be used and abused. The testing proved it can be trusted and that the lock won't fail - this and other positive qualities (also the price) makes it a great knife option for the ones who serve and the ones who really use their knives to the max and beyond.

Extrema Ratio Shrapnel Clone Knife Review!

I've finally received this knife and would like to tell you about it.
I ordered it to serve as a tactical hard use fixed blade (which was lacking in my collection), my criteria was: solid and thick spined knife with good ergonomics, kydex sheath and 4+ inches of blade length.
The knife came in a black "Extrema Ratio" branded cardboard box, reasonably sharp out of the box.
When I got it out, I was quite surprised. From my talks with the seller. he told me that blade length is going to be 10 cm (~ 4''), but it is in fact 11 cm if you count the choil area of the blade, so it was a good surprise, as I wanted a longer blade.
I usually don't test my knives, but with this one I just couldn't resist, so I went up to the yard, shaved and chopped some wood and also tested the tip.

The Pros:

- Awesome ergonomics: The handle is made from a rubbery material, which is nice to the touch and has just the right amount of squeeze and grip. It is also quite long, so can be held comfortably in a few ways and grips. The gimping is pronounced but not sharp and will feel great with or without a glove.
- The weight and the balance: the knife feels very light in the hand (216.7 g/7.6 oz) for a fixed blade, and this is partly due to the great balance between the blade and the handle.
- The design, looks, fit and finish: A big plus in owning an Extrema Ratio knife (or a clone in this case) are the looks and the design. The knife looks great, inside or outside the sheath, just a proper tactical fixed blade look. The fit and finish are also very nice, no visible problems there.
The design is just awesome. It starts with the fact that you can insert the knife into the sheath in both ways, so it will suite lefties as well. The rivets are Tec-lok compatible and positioned great to mount the sheath to your gear. The knife also has a holed finger guard in the front and a striking point/lanyard hole in the back, that extend the usage options of the blade.

The Cons:

- The sheath: It's done well, but a few things still bugged me. The knife sits well, and won't fall off in both directions, but it does rattle quite a lot, especially side to side, which can create quite a loud noise. The genuine one has a rubber insert inside to prevent this. I believe the same solution can be done here. Another solution can be to heat it up and press it. The advantage of a fully hollow sheath is that water will come out right away and also is will be very easy to clean.
Another issue with the sheath is the clip that it comes with - it feels a little flimsy. I will definitely replace it with a good Tec-Loc.
- The blade steel: As I've seen after the tests, the knife has a pretty soft blade steel, which wouldn't hold an edge for a very long time. I mean, it's not bad (behaves sort of like 440C), but it's not some supersteel. The plus is it can be sharpened very quickly and easily.

The Verdict:
-This is a very good knife to be used as a tactical fixed blade for non-combat use. It is solid, and probably won't disappoint you for your regular tactical getaways or outdoors. It is also pretty inexpensive, so you wouldn't regret really using and abusing it. Also, the looks and the design really do it for me.
I probably wouldn't use it for actual combat, as I would like a battle-proven fixed blade for those.

Mini ADV Butcher Clone - Small Folding Cleaver!

Another new cleaver-style blade has emerged, and this time it's a Mini ADV Butcher style blade.
It has 6.9' (17.5 cm) overall length, 2.8' (7.2 cm) blade length and 4.4 oz (125g) of weight and comes in 2 colors - grey and blue anodized.
It is a small flipper knife and it runs on bearings in the pivot.
Pretty cool little knife, that isn't stabby, so it probably won't scare other people as much as a regular blade.
I have doubts to believe this is really S35VN blade, but at this price 9Cr18MoV is more than fine.
BTW - the knife has a framelock with steel insert, but it is photo-shopped, in order to comply with AliExpress knife laws, that prohibit to sell a locking blade folder (or to show the lock in this matter).

The Dwaine Carrillo Tunnel Ratt Clone Review + vs Medford Praetorian Clone - Battle of Clone Beasts!

There is a segment in the knife world, where size and weight make no difference - the overbuilt hard use no nonsense folders, which are appreciated only for strength - strength and durability. These monsters are very popular and usually have a pretty high price-tag, so they are being cloned on regular basis.
One of those folders, that I owned, was the Praetorian clone and another, which I received  now is the Dwaine Carrillo Tunnel Ratt Clone, and I would like to compare them and make a review of the Ratt on the way.
I'll start with the things that are similar in both knives - they both have great lockup, pretty good action for a knife on washers, similar construction (steel frame + G10 scale) and approximate weight of 8oz (227g).
The Praetorian - has better finish (soother edges), is less thick behind the edge and sharper . 
The Tunnel Ratt - has better ergonomics (thicker handle and better gimping), thicker blade (6mm), and one handed opening (over sized thumb studs). It also has a far better pocket clip.
The looks are very subjective - some like the looks of the Praetorian, others prefer the Tunnel Ratt.
Verdict - both blades will serve you well, not as EDC knives, but as hard use folders.
Praetorian is slimmer and wider, while the Tunnel Ratt is chubbier.
If you care about one handed opening - Tunnel Ratt is the way to go.
If you live in a state/country, where one handed opening is prohibited - get the Praetorian.
Anyway - if you liked the one, you will most probably like the other.

Sinkevich Custom Koordinal Clone Titanium Framelock Flipper Knife - Another awesome design cloned!

Guess the Chinese makers really love Dmitri Sinkevich's designs.

Otherwise it will be hard to explain so many of his models being cloned lately with the best materials, including milled titanium, carbon fiber and M390 steel.

Ok, maybe not so hard to explain - everybody likes Sinkevich's designs.

He has made a long way from Belarus to the peak of knifemaking with the ZT collaboration.

Now there are 4 versions of clones of the design (all come without the logo):

1. The most premium version is the Vespa CF+Ti+M390, it is also the most expensive one.

2. Vespa Ti+M390 version, also has 3 row ceramic bearings.

3. Green Thorn Ti+D2 version - 4 color options and double row ceramic bearings.
