RAD Knives Cleaver Mini Style Clone - New Budget "EDC" Version!

Hi,
There is a new Budget "EDC" version of the Field Cleavers!
The difference is in the width of the scales (slimmer than on the previous versions) and thus make the knife lighter (7.4 oz (210g) instead of the previous 8.25 (234 g).
It will also be slimmer in the pocket.
Plus those are much more affordable than the previous version.
I already own one and confirm this info.

Check them out here: RAD Knives EDC Version
Also check out many small Cleavers from Fura: FURA Mini Cleavers

Details about the knives:
They have the same overall size and weight as the previous models:

Overall : 220 mm
Blade length 90mm
Handle length : 130 mm
Blade width : 40 mm ( widest point )
Blade thickness : 4mm
Blade material : D2
Weight: 210 g ( without packaging )

Les George 0909 Tactical Flipper Knife Clone is now available!

Weekly Clone News!
The 0909 knife, which has a Les George style design is now available for sale on AliExpress.

The knife features black G-10 handles, a linerlock, bearings in the pivot and D2 (probably 9Cr18MoV) blade steel.
A good tactical option, if you need that extra strength.
Still would prefer it to not have an original logo on the blade.
If you only buy original knives - consider this as a  PSA - there are now ZT0909  clones on the market!

Check out the knife here: 0909 Knife Clone
The original model is sold here: Zero Tolerance ZT 0909 Les George Knife

Sinkevich Custom Koordinal Clone Titanium Framelock Flipper Knife - Another awesome design cloned!

Guess the Chinese makers really love Dmitri Sinkevich's designs.
Otherwise it will be hard to explain so many of his models being cloned lately with the best materials, including milled titanium, carbon fiber and M390 steel.
Ok, maybe not so hard to explain - everybody likes Sinkevich's designs.
He has made a long way from Belarus to the peak of knifemaking with the ZT collaboration.
Now there are 4 versions of clones of the design (all come without the logo):
1. The most premium version is the Vespa CF+Ti+M390, it is also the most expensive one.
2. Vespa Ti+M390 version, also has 3 row ceramic bearings.
3. Green Thorn Ti+D2 version - 4 color options and double row ceramic bearings.
4. Monkey G10+Steel linerlock version - the budget friendly version with steel bearings and 6 color options.

Y-Start Jin02 EDC Axis Lock Knife Review from GearBest - Better than Ganzo G7533?

For the comparison I used the very popular Ganzo G7533 model, which I received at about the same time.
The comparison:
Overall fit and finish - pretty much the same level of quality, both have milled liners and excellent fit and finish, maybe a slight advantage for the Jin02.
Mechanics and lockup - a clear win for the Jin02 - perfect centering, 0 blade play in any direction and much smoother action right out of the box (bearings in the pivot) give it a clear advantage over the Ganzo (even after I polished the washers on a Ganzo).
Axis lock - is easier to disengage on the Jin, but it is also a bit stiffer and has sharper edges, so a tie at this point.
Blade steel and shape - A slight advantage to the Jin, due to FFG (Full Flat Grind) shape, thinner grind and D2 steel (EDIT: later found out Ystart use 7Cr17MoV and label it as D2. Can't get much more for the price).
Ergonomics - I personally prefer the Ganzo, it sits a little bit better in my Medium sized hand but the Jin is OK as well (it is individual).
Pocket clip - If there is a weaker side on the Jin, it is it's pocket clip. Ganzo clearly takes this one, due to to the more stiff, pointy polished clip on the Jin. Also the Jin's clip creates a small "hot spot" in my hand while squeezing it hard in the hand.
Verdict - the Jin02 is an awesome knife and will serve you well as an EDC blade.
It's clear advantages are the mechanics, overall quality (especially in the details) and the better cutting blade shape.
If you care about those things in the knife, you will probably like the Jin02 a lot.

2 new Cleaver Style Blades - RAD+ADV Style Collaboration + Chinese Style Magic Cleaver

Merry Christmas!
Just a quick update on 2 relatively new blade, that are available on AliExpress:

1. Small RAD+ADV Style Cleaver: A very interesting mini version of the RAD Knives Field Cleaver, if he would work with ADV for a collaboration. The knife features RAD style 3'' D2 blade, 2 color options, ADV style handle and a Sebenza style clip. Cool option, if you would like an EDC'able cleaver (the framelock in the picture is photoshopped to follow Ali knife laws).

2. Magic Chinese Style Cleaver: a new blade from relatively new maker - Magic Knives. Has full ti handle, awesome cleaver style blade and ball bearings in the pivot.

Microtech Anax Style Integral Aluminim Handle Knife - Improved version from Green Thorn!

Microtech Anax model came out a few years ago and instantly became one of Microtech's most interesting models. Most of the interest came from an integral handle, ball bearings in the pivot, awesome blade grind and the wicked Ti lanyard. The party killer in this case was the +$1000 price tag. The future of the model is uncertain at this time because of ZT claims to the subframe lock used in it.
Our Chinese friends also liked this model very much and Wild Boar released the first version, using aluminium instead of titanium to cut costs. The model received great feedback.
Now, Green Thorn released the upgraded version of the knife. The differences are better gimping (looks more like the original), bronze anodized hardware and overall better Green Thorn quality control.
