RAD Knives Cleaver Mini Style Clone - New Budget "EDC" Version!

Hi,
There is a new Budget "EDC" version of the Field Cleavers!
The difference is in the width of the scales (slimmer than on the previous versions) and thus make the knife lighter (7.4 oz (210g) instead of the previous 8.25 (234 g).
It will also be slimmer in the pocket.
Plus those are much more affordable than the previous version.
I already own one and confirm this info.

Check them out here: RAD Knives EDC Version
Also check out many small Cleavers from Fura: FURA Mini Cleavers

Details about the knives:
They have the same overall size and weight as the previous models:

Overall : 220 mm
Blade length 90mm
Handle length : 130 mm
Blade width : 40 mm ( widest point )
Blade thickness : 4mm
Blade material : D2
Weight: 210 g ( without packaging )

New Budget Version of the RAD Field Cleaver Clone Mini + Comparison

I ordered this knife in the recent AliExpress sale and it finally arrived to me for a review.
This version of Cleaver comes in a different case (black cardboard one vs the plastic case the previous, more premium version came in).
First impressions:
Overall the knife has the same dimensions (3.5" blade) and weight (the budget version is ~5g lighter at 222g).
The biggest difference between the versions is the finish on the handle - a grey coating on the budget vs sandblasting on the premium. The budget also has horizontal stripes on the frame side and some small scratches on the handle.
The blade has 2 tone finish (stonewashed flats and satin grind), all the edges are smooth and the blade is sharp.
Lockup is excellent (has a steel insert) and the blade is centered.
The knife came very oiled from the factory, not the best kind of oil (the thick yellow one), so it needed to be opened up and cleaned.
A look on the inside:
After I opened it up and cleaned it, I noticed it has double row bearings (on mine one was steel, the other ceramic, have steel washers to separate them from the handles). I checked all the parts with a magnet and can confirm they are in fact made from titanium (scales, backspacer and pocket clip).
After the cleanup and application of lube the knife became significantly smoother.

In summary - the difference between the versions is primarily in the quality of the finish.
I think both versions were done using the same blueprints.
If you just want to feel the design, the budget version might fit you.
But if you need more in terms of quality - get the premium, as it is done a bit better IMO and is more similar to the genuine RAD knife.

New Budget EDC Version of the RAD Field Cleaver Mini Clone!

New budget version of the RAD Field Cleaver Mini Clone is now available for purchase in the excellent LDT store on AliExpress!
It is a bit smaller than the one that I had, which was the previous version of this knife, both in the blade length and the handle length, which means it is more suited for EDC.
The weight is approximately the same (225g vs 227g on mine).

But the best part about it is the price - only $51 with the store coupon!
The other version was sold for ~$96, so this is almost twice cheaper, while retaining the same materials - titanium handle, pocket clip and framelock (with steel insert), D2 blade and ceramic bearings (single row vs double row on the previous, more expensive version).

If you never tried a RAD Cleaver - here is your chance!

Check out the knife here: Budget Field Cleaver Clone Mini
Previous version is still sold here: Field Cleaver Clone Mini
Full size clone could be found here: Full Size Field Cleaver Clone

2 new Cleaver Style Blades - RAD+ADV Style Collaboration + Chinese Style Magic Cleaver

Merry Christmas!
Just a quick update on 2 relatively new blade, that are available on AliExpress:

1. Small RAD+ADV Style Cleaver: A very interesting mini version of the RAD Knives Field Cleaver, if he would work with ADV for a collaboration. The knife features RAD style 3'' D2 blade, 2 color options, ADV style handle and a Sebenza style clip. Cool option, if you would like an EDC'able cleaver (the framelock in the picture is photoshopped to follow Ali knife laws).

2. Magic Chinese Style Cleaver: a new blade from relatively new maker - Magic Knives. Has full ti handle, awesome cleaver style blade and ball bearings in the pivot.
